Welcome to the Open Source Game System (OSGS) Web Site

Our mission is to learn and share knowledge of video game development. We meet every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Computer Science building main lab.

We are looking for anyone with a passion and desire to develop video games. We are looking for:

  • Programmers
  • Artists
  • Musicians
  • Anyone who can help in the creative process of developing video games!

Students from majors other than Computer Science are welcomed to apply. You don't have to have experience in developing games, because we'll teach you! Every week we try to have a new topic to teach. Tutorials we've had in the past include: introduction to XNA and C#, version control tools, player input, audio output, 2D textures, shader programming, 3D models, and camera movement.

This semester we are using Microsoft's XNA Framework using C#. Check out our games, which can be found in projects.

Next meeting

There will be no more meetings for the rest of the semester.
